They have deducted for social security and medicare but not for Federal tax, off course, state tax has been deducted. So when I file for my tax return, how do I include the federal tax .

if there’s nothing there, then you had no federal withholding and the amount to report is 0.

How should we know? Were federal taxes withheld from your regular paychecks? Ask your employer why there was no federal withholding.

you must not have made enough to get any federal taxes withheld – if the w-2 says zero federal Income taxes withheld, then that’s what you put on the 1040

Do you have a pay stuff with you?
Check whether your have federal tax withheld from your pay-stuff. If so, your employer could have made a mistake preparing W-2s’.
Otherwise, you have filled out W-4 claiming many exemptions and there wasn’t any federal tax withheld from your pay check.

So, you should check your weekly or bi-weekly paycheck to see whether your employer made a mistake…. Otherwise, you owe a tax to IRS.
