I am married with 3 children and I don’t make a lot of money. Under Bush, our refund was the only time of year we got back a significant amount of money. I just want to know if my tax refund is going to shrink significantly next year.

Obama makes no bones about his plans to go on a tax rampage. Not only would he increase the capital-gains tax rate from 15 percent to as much as 28 percent, he wants to allow the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts to expire in 2010, which effectively raises taxes on Americans by tens of billions of dollars.

2. As Deputy Attorney General, in his final days with the Clinton administration, Holder was involved with President Clinton’s last-minute pardon of fugitive and Democratic contributor Marc Rich. Between November 2000 and January 2001 Jack Quinn, Rich’s lawyer and former White House Counsel from 1995-96, had been contacting Holder, testing the waters for the political viability of a presidential pardon. After presenting his case to Holder in a November phone call and a last minute January 17th letter, Quinn arranged a phone call between the White House and Holder, asking the Deputy Attorney General to share his opinion on the Rich pardon. 3. Marc Rich (born Marc David Reich on December 18, 1934) is an international commodities trader. He created the spot market for crude oil in the 1970s. He fled the United States in 1983 to live in Switzerland while being prosecuted on charges of tax evasion and illegally making oil deals with Iran during the hostage crisis.
After prosecution he was convicted of felonies related to tax evasion and from illegal deals with Iran during the Iran hostage crisis. He subsequently received a presidential pardon from United States President Bill Clinton in 2001 during Clinton’s last day in office.

According to the links, Eric Holder acting as Deputy Attorney General “leaned” towards pardoning a “fugitive from justice?” President Clinton was POTUS during this time. So the decision was ultimately his. But Holder inititated it.
