Tax Attorney Long Island

My husband is going to Iraq sometime this month. I need to be made his Power of Attorney so I can file our taxes, and do whatever else I need to do while he is away. Is this something I would need to go to a lawyer to do so it’ll be legal? I’ve heard that different business require different paperwork. I just don’t want a problem while he’s overseas.
My husband is not in the military. He is going as a contractor with his company.
Once again, HE IS NOT IN THE MILITARY

Are there any special test or Bachelors required for those two?

Whats the pay like for each?
Is either field saturated like most law fields?

I’m thinking of pursuing a career in law, possibly becoming a tax attorney or a corporate attorney. However, I’ve done a little research and am kind of freaked out at people saying things like 70% of lawyers would choose a different career, stressful job and doesn’t pay well, etc. Also, on some sites, people post that you basically need to go to a top law school and graduate in the top of your class to get a “good, high paying job.” Is this true??? any other advice or opinions? THANK YOU!

My and my sister received an out of court settlement for our mother’s wrongful death. It is my understanding that is not considered taxable.income However is the 1/3 of the money for the lawyers cut deductible.

I am a senior in high school and have always been interested in law and numbers. I know I would probably need to major in something like accounting in undergraduate school, but would I need to get a masters degree and become a CPA and then go to law school? I’m really asking – how are certain lawyers classified as tax lawyers?

This bussness advertised on TV in 2006 headquarters in Toronto and Galgary . Pay them and they will protect from legel action while making arrangement to start repayment of owed taxes. Friend needs to go back 5 years to correct mistake.

I know the path to becoming either of these professionals differ.

However, is the legal aspect only factor that separates the two professions? Which would have the most expertise on tax?

Do tax lawyers make more than tax accountants?

Do they perform similar job duties?
