I need an attorney for post divorce custody issues. I will soon be going thru mediation, then back to court for final ruling on visitation/custody. I am currently living in Chicago, IL, but I need an attorney for Sedgwick county, since that is where the original divorce/custody were filed. Now of course, I would like the best, but please keep in mind, I am no millionaire, so if someone could please recommend an attorney with reasonable rates, but kicks butt in court, that would be great!

My husband is going to Iraq sometime this month. I need to be made his Power of Attorney so I can file our taxes, and do whatever else I need to do while he is away. Is this something I would need to go to a lawyer to do so it’ll be legal? I’ve heard that different business require different paperwork. I just don’t want a problem while he’s overseas.
My husband is not in the military. He is going as a contractor with his company.

My attorney filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy. He thought I could have $20.000 in equity. But, I can only have $9.000 in equity. He has admitted he made a mistake but it could cost me my home. What can I do? He is asking me to let him work it out but my friends say I need to hire a different attorney.

I am being sued by my rich parents for the custody of my kids. I don’t think I should go to court without representation. does anyone know where I can get an attorney for free? Or low cost, I guess.

I was recomended a divorce attorney whom is a bit costy however; I heard she’s worth it. I don’t have extra money to be throwing away like others may therefore; I need to know from people that have been or are in the process of a divorce what questions should I be asking since her consultation fee is $100.00 and $250.00 per hour.

I am thinking of going to school to pursue my BS in Legal studies and wondered if that would allow me to later become an associate at a law firm?

This is the first time i decide to hire an attorney to handle my case. I wanna know if there are websites for local attorneys rating? or some other sources can help find a good attorney. Or any tips to deal with attorneys??

Btw, it is not exactly a “wrongful termination” i was forced to worked clock off, given no lunch break during long hours. I reported it to district manager, later i was terminated.
they just thought i am troubled,and afraid about i would tell other employees to do the same thing.
