They started doing direct deposits today. Go to irs.gov and you can see the scheduled dates.

Yes, the schedule depends on the last two numbers of your social security number. Go to the IRS website, http://www.irs.gov and click on the link to stimulus rebate information. There is a payment schedule that will tell you.

the checks don’t start going out until all the direct deposits are done and that’s being done over a 3 week period starting next week – depending on your soc sec #, you might not get your check until late summer

The relief checks are running one week ahead of schedule. As it stands now the first monies will be electronically mailed to accounts starting April 28, 08 and the snail mail checks begin going out on May 9, 08. Depending on the last digits of your social security number. The Irs has a website that explains everything in more detail.

I just heard on the news that for those who had their original tax refund direct deposited they are going to start depositing those peoples relief checks tomorrow, and the following week they are going to be sending out paper checks.
